The opening ceremony of Mammadbeyli village in Zangilan district has been held. The event was attended by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, who handed house keys to the village residents.
With great pride, it is said that within the next stage of the “Great Return” program initiated and led by President Ilham Aliyev, the reconstruction works in Mammadbeyli village were successfully implemented by “AS Inshaat” LLC, a subsidiary of “the AS Group” group of companies.
The project commenced in May 2024. A total of 188 individual houses and two administrative buildings were constructed over an area of 51.6 hectares. Of these, 149 houses are one-storey and 39 are two-storey. According to the design, 39 houses have two rooms, 55 have three rooms, 55 have four rooms, and 39 have five rooms. Each house includes a 12-are yard plot and an auxiliary building.
Two multifunctional administrative buildings were also built in the village. Artistic murals have been painted on the walls of administrative buildings, retaining walls, and crossings, adding aesthetic value to the overall appearance of the settlement.
A modern communication and utility infrastructure has been established in Mammadbeyli village, including road and pavement coverings, drinking water and irrigation lines, a domestic sewage system, gas pipelines, and 35 kV high-voltage cable lines. The area is equipped with 185 lighting poles, four transformers with a capacity of 1000 kV each, and 34 water wells.
Each house is fitted with 4–6 solar panels of 550 W capacity, depending on the number of rooms. Fiber optic cables have been installed to provide high-speed internet access. As a result, all residential and administrative buildings are fully supplied with water, electricity, gas, and internet.
Internal roads have been constructed and asphalted, with traffic signs installed throughout the village. Ramps have been built on sidewalks for the convenience of children and people with disabilities. Green areas have been developed, trees planted, and extensive landscaping works carried out.
In the center of the village, an octagonal water fountain reflecting historical motifs has been built. The design of the fountain was inspired by the mausoleum erected in 1305 in honor of Yahya, son of Muhammad al-Hajj, located in Mammadbeyli village.
Mammadbeyli village is located 16 kilometers from Zangilan city center and is connected to Aghali-1 village via a two-lane tunnel, which enhances economic efficiency and social comfort.
Thanks to this connection, the residents of Mammadbeyli village can conveniently use the public facilities of Aghali village, including a secondary school for 360 students, a kindergarten for 60 kids, a family health center, as well as consumer service facilities, pharmacies, a market complex, and a five-zone park.
